Dr Prahlad Parapuji, an eminent scholar and scientist in the field of Neurosurgery, has done scholastic work in the field of biological research.
His arena in teaching is “Advance Neurophysiology”, and he has been imparting “Laboratory Trainings to Residents and Graduate/Undergraduate Students”. Dr Prahlad’s research area is “Tumor Immunology” which involved clinical and pre-clinical studies on mechanisms of immune suppression by malignant tumors and developing novel immunotherapeutic strategies for malignant gliomas — Systematic Comparison of Dendritic Cell-based Immunotherapeutic Strategies for Malignant Gliomas: In Vitro Induction of Cytolytic and Natural Killer-like T Cells.
As a faculty member of the Neurological Surgery Department, Dr. Prahlad Parajuli, Ph.D., (Immunology) directed a multidisciplinary basic and translational research program in neuro-oncology, primarily focused on malignant brain tumors, with emphasis on pre-clinical research aimed at development of novel therapies (The Neurological Surgery Department at Wayne State University School of Medicine). Dr Prahlad’s book “Experimental Hematology” is an elite contribution in the field of medical science.
